Installing HP Color LaserJet 5550dn on RHEL,Fedora9/10 Linux

Hi Friends,

If any one looking for Installation of HP Color LaserJet 5550dn on RHEL and Fedora 9/10 Linux Follow this method :-

Open this link :- http://hplipopensource.com/hplip-web/supported_devices/index.html

In First Step Select Color LaserJet/ Color LaserJet MFP

In Second Step Select HP 5550dn

In Third Step Click on Continue

That will take you to the downloading page
Click on Download HPLIP It will take you to the installation Information page Scroll Down and again click on Downlaod HPLIP

save file and remember locate where you saved it.

Once Download Complete Go to that location where you Download it and execute following command : (You need to be root to install this)

[root@ask4itsolutions.com]# sh hplip-3.9.2.run

Just Follow the Instruction and Your Printer get Installed.
